For the past five years, Youth Services Bureau of Monroe County and Building a Thriving Compassionate Community (BTCC) have engaged community members annually for the Monroe County Childhood Conditions Summit (MC3). This year’s MC3 Summit, scheduled for October 19th, 2021, will once again be free of cost and sessions will be hosted both virtually in the morning and in-person at the Monroe County Public Library in the afternoon. We will revisit our original theme of “what surrounds us shapes us.” This theme is grounded in the understanding that children are shaped by the relationships they have, the neighborhoods they live in, the places they learn and play, and the community organizations that serve them.
In the 6th year, the Summit will include sessions with opportunities for moving from ideas to action– with concrete steps to promote safe, stable, nurturing conditions in Monroe County.
