BTCC, along with a cross-sector team of 12+ partners, was accepted into the national Healthiest Cities and Counties Challenge in 2016.  Social inclusion and its impact on community health is a priority of ours as we enter our second year in the Challenge.

We are excited to learn how people think of social inclusion, in what ways our community promotes it, and what makes it challenging to facilitate.  The Community Conversation series is an effort to convene community members- including those that work at, visit, and access host community organizations- in dialogue about their connections to roles and resources that facilitate health and belonging.  The thrust of our work in the Challenge is exploring and enacting policy and practice changes that promote safety, stability, and nurturance- and we cannot begin to recommend or implement these changes without knowledge directly from and ultimately for individuals trying to survive and thrive in our community.

Our Fall 2017 schedule is below; we will be adding additional Conversations and coordinating our Spring series, so check back for updates and information on how to reserve a spot.  You can also call 812-349-7397 if you have questions.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Conversation participants will be invited to facilitate future conversations and be a part of the team that analyzes & interprets data.
